HHS Issues Report from President’s MAHA Commission

The health secretary says policy recommendations will be issued over the next 100 days.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released a preliminary health assessment last week to guide Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) agenda. This strategy was compiled by the new MAHA commission implemented earlier this year, pointing to poor diet, unhealthy habits, and pharmaceuticals as the primary reasons for lapses in American health.

Though the report is in keeping with the secretary’s agenda, it’s in its very early stages of development. It makes no formal recommendations and has no framework for financial expectations.

“There is no budget,” Secretary Kennedy stated at a Thursday briefing. “At this point, there’s no concrete policy that could be funded in the budget; we’re going to work out the policy recommendations over the next 100 days.”

He added, “We’re going to save a lot more money in the long run and even in the short run, if we can reduce the numbers, which we intend to do during this administration.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Kennedy and HHS officials as they seek to improve the health of Americans through reforms of food and nutrition standards.
  • For wisdom for President Trump and his Cabinet members as they update regulations and programs.
